RoguesNest - Builds: Hallowfall Healer

Hallowfall Healer

Hallowfall Build

Probably the best healing build to solo que Ranked Crystal Arenas. This build is capable of incredible amounts of healing for your team, and boasts amazing self preservation, with multiple invulnerability frames (i-frames), displacement, and resistance increases. Your main aim as a healer in this build is to stay out of danger, keeping distance and taking advantage of your ranged Area of Effect (AoE) healing spells to keep your team healthy.

Once you get practiced with the build however you can really carry your team, interrupting enemy damage, diving in to save low health or heavily focused team members, all whilst skilfully avoiding or mitigating any damage aimed at yourself. A build with low skill floor, but high skill ceiling, this build will stay with you all the way through your ranking in the Crystal Arenas.

Holy Flash: This will cast an area of healing down on the ground capable of healing multiple players at once. The biggest enemy of this skill in public areas is likely to be your team running out of them, but a few deaths in most will realize that they should probably stick around. The real bonus here is that you can use this to heal yourself and your team together, or multiple team members caught up in damage. It may take some time to learn, but it is 100% your best option.

Holy Orb: A long range healing ability sending out an orb in a straight path from your character, it will splash healing in an AoE around the target hit, but because it hits the first person on your team, be careful not to waste it on someone else who might walk in its path. This ability gives you strong heals from a good distance, allowing you to keep safe whilst keeping your team healthy.

Divine Intervention: One of the best healing abilities in the game for either a newer healer, or a healer playing with newer players. Divine Intervention allows you to jump to a target location, during the jump you are immune to damage and crowd control, when you land you will heal yourself and any friendly players in the area. It will also knock up and opposing players in that same area, buying your team some time to recover and react to damage. This can be used aggressively to cancel enemy spellcasting, but use it with caution.

Equipment abilities

Scholar Cowl

This helmet choice will give you a good resistance boost vs melee damage, with a minor resistance boost vs magic damage. The main function of this helmet however is that any time you take damage, you will get energy restored. This means you get to turn being focused into regaining energy, whilst also mitigating some of the damage. A great pick for a healer likely to get focused.

Robe of Purity

An amazing option to push aggressive melee players pushing in on you by throwing them back. Whilst active the robe will not only knockback any player who gets too close, but will also make you immune to knockback yourself, something very valuable to a holy healer, who can be vulnerable to having their casts interrupted with knockbacks. You can use this robe offensively to force back enemy players from your low health team members to buy yourself time to heal them, just try not to be too aggressive with it and put yourself out of position in the enemies frontline.

Cleric Sandals

An instant, 20 second cooldown blink. Great to instantly evade damage, or reposition to get a better angle to heal. Overall as the healer, never use your sandals unless you have to. The Hallowfall offers another i-frame blink, so together with these shoes you get to stay mobile, and with skill can even evade burst damage with the blink.

Lymhurst Cape

Running out of energy as a healer means no healing, no healing means your team dies. The Lymhurst Cape is absolutely vital to provide a backup of energy during those times your team is taking heavy damage and you are using a lot of energy to keep them alive.

Celestial Censer

The Censer will boost your healing output, at the cost of increasing your damage taken. Overall with the other items in this build you should be covered. That being said, if you are struggling to stay alive, a mistcaller may be a better option to get your defensives up sooner by decreasing cooldowns. Because of the decreased cooldowns the mistcaller offers this also means an increase in healing output, but at the cost of more energy,

Passives

Adrenaline Driven Charity for the weapon, timing this well with your Holy Orb or Divine Intervention can lead to a big boost in healing output. For the Armor just take Aggression for the maximum possible healing.

Avalonian pork Omelette

The Avalonian pork omelette offers a reduction in cooldowns, cast times, as well as an increase to your defense vs players statistic. In short this makes it a great option to have your spells available more often, reduce the cast times of your heals, and help you survive the damage the enemy team will throw at you.

Resistance Potion

The resistance potion can be a life saver as a healer. There may be times when aggressive melee heavy comps rush in for your backline, or when a tank manages to pull you out of position. Hopefully your team will peel for you to relieve that pressure, but there will be cases when that won’t happen as quickly as it needs you. The resistance potion should cover you from there. Alternatively, if the opposing team’s comp is more ranged focus, energy potions may be a necessary switch to ensure you have the energy you need to keep healing your team.
